This comprehensive course equips participants with essential life-saving skills, including:
- Scene Assessment & Safety: Learn how to evaluate and secure the scene before providing aid.
- Medical Emergencies: Gain knowledge on how to respond to asthma attacks, allergic reactions, heart attacks, strokes, diabetic emergencies, and seizures.
- Injury Emergencies: Learn how to manage bleeding, shock, wounds, spinal injuries, fractures, and sprains.
- Environmental Emergencies: Discover how to address bites, stings, temperature-related injuries, and poison exposures.
- CPR Techniques: Master CPR for adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breathing.
- AED Operation: Learn how to properly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Choking Relief: Understand the steps to take when someone is choking, for both adults and children.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a two-year certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). This course meets the standards set by Washington State (WISHA) and federal (OSHA) regulations.
